Self-motivated and jubiliant with energy he started devoting all his time in pursuit of his artistc expressions on canvas.
About his art
Akshay's art represents an inspiring world , where novel forms are, on one hand, similar to human beings and yet are quite different. Owing to the fact that he is well travelled and has always felt himself an element of nature, he is truly liberated from any preconceived notions or prejudices. Offering a fresh outlook at life and it's various facets, the vivid colors bring out the subtle yet obvious differences. They appear to be real yet have a dream like quality to them. They are passive yet active. The subjects all seem to come from different world yet anybody can find similitude with them.It seems to represent artist completely as he dwells on creatures born out of his imagination, which cannot be understood easily if described in words but take a life of their own when depicted on canvas. Yet again instead of these creations making his paintings complicated or closed in its meaning, they rather makes them honest and open to interpretations according to the viewers.
Even the popular Gods and Godesses have a startling new outlook. For example when one imagines Lord Shiva's Tandav, a particular picture comes to mind but then the viewer is awestruck by Akshay's portrayal of Lord Shiva. While the essence might be the same, the painting takes the spectator to another level of conciousness where colors have formed a different perspective of "shiv Tandav". Likewise "Ram Ravana" is quite different from the traditional image of either Ram or Ravana. Trance like states, that bring forward these inner musings of the artist on canvas, make him often fully immersed in the persuit of the artistic impressionism. During these 30-40 hours of "release", time stops and becomes a spectator like us. Other mundane chores no longer exist. Inner feel and imagination take control. As the time watches with amazement and delight, layers and layers of colors merge on the canvas to create finest renderings of the artist. Just like the first rain showers, after a cruel summer, fill the heart of Earth with colorful bounty, these "Monsoon of colors" will fill your heart with happiness and hope.
